Drum Lessons Via Skype
Once we agree on a lesson time, you will be sent an online PayPal invoice. The lesson must be paid for within 24 hours of scheduling to reserve your spot. If there is no payment the lesson will be forfeit. Before contacting me about lessons, please check my "rates and policies" section above to learn about my rules and policies. (Skype lessons are $15 less then at my home studio.) (See my "Rates and Policy" section above)
Benefits of online learning
Learn in your home – Your practice environment is your lesson environment. This will allow you to be more relaxed and at ease. This convenience makes it easier to stick with the lessons and avoid illness and weather related issues. Additionally, this model of lessons fosters a sense of independence much earlier compared to in-person lessons. Students who are regularly searching for their own answers, viewing tutorials online, and possess a basic proficiency in technology make great candidates for online learning. That being said, online lessons do involve a bit more concentration and patience on the student’s end and might not work for everyone, especially younger beginners. For this reason, I do not allow anyone under the age of 10 to study with me through Skype.
What equipment do I need?
1. You will need access to a drum-set (acoustic or electric), if you have an electric drum set you must have it attached to speakers or an amplifier.
2. Reliable internet connection, and Skype-compatible device (Large tablet or a laptop is preferred).
3. Your Skype device must have a camera and microphone. Recent model laptops are ideal, but iPads and iPhones also work well because of their great cameras, mics, and Wi-Fi chipsets.
Generally speaking, larger screens provide a more comfortable experience.
4. You'll need to point the camera from the direction of someone sitting right beside you to your right or from an overhead drum angle.
Your payment must be processed before lessons can take place. you will be sent an online PayPal invoice. The lesson must be paid for within 24 hours of scheduling to reserve your spot. If there is no payment the lesson will be forfeit until the next lesson. There are no refunds.
At our lesson time you can either call me or be ready to accept my call at the agreed upon time. Your time won’t be extended if you are late, you won't get extra time for calling in early. All lessons cancelled by me will be rescheduled. I have a strict no make-up lesson policy.

5. Quality headphones can improve your experience significantly.
